Basin Precision Machining Announces Investment in Equipment and Infrastructure
Brings New Jobs to Jefferson, Wisconsin
Jefferson, Wisconsin – Industry-leading CNC supplier Basin Precision Machining (BPM) has added 22,500 square feet of manufacturing space and advanced equipment to their Jefferson Facility. The $13 million investment provides the capacity and capabilities to meet the evolving demands of complex, low volume part manufacturing.
Enhanced Capabilities at BPM’s Jefferson Facility
The changes reflect BPM’s commitment to high quality standards, continuous improvement and adapting to meet industry needs.
Notable improvements to the Jefferson Facility include the following:
- 5 Mazak Integrex “done in one” machines for the manufacture of complex Energy and Aerospace parts, optioned to make the difficult now more easily manageable for team members.
- A Mazak Palletech Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) to expand Hydraulic Manifold capacity. One of the largest in the country, this system now offers 6-500MM Horizontal Machining Centers, 120 pallets, and 348 tools per machine.
BPM can now produce any mix of 300 complex Hydraulic Manifolds with zero setup. With 3 load stations, this system enables 9 team members to produce the same volume of product that conventional machines do with 28 people.
In addition to cutting-edge machining technology and automation systems to maximize volume efficiency, BPM uses thermal deburring processes to ensure premier quality. The Jefferson facility is fully networked and equipped with coordinate measuring machines to give teams timely, relevant, and accurate information.
Basin Precision Machining Targeting Growth
Basin Precision Machining President, Eric Anderson recently outlined BPM’s plan, “The future of Basin Precision Machining is growth, both organically in Jefferson and Whitewater and by acquisition as opportunities occur. We are going to branch into markets that demand the quality we can provide and the versatility we have to offer. We’re easy to work with. We’re a quiet supplier. We get the job done.”
BPM will be hiring at the Jefferson Facility to support the recent expansion. BPM team members include those new to manufacturing, those in mid-career, and experienced professionals. Shared characteristics of the BPM team include strong problem-solving skills, a responsive work ethic, and consistent integrity – qualities vital for BPM to deliver exceptional customer service.
An equal opportunity employer, BPM focuses on bringing together a team with the talent and drive to meet customer needs on every project. Eric Anderson affirms, “All are welcome here.”
